Matt Brigg’s Blog & Slam Team Send-Off

Hello blog readers!

Summer has slowed my pulse and my blog postings. I’ve been working hard and sleeping light these couple of months, slowing coiling up to spring into action again in the fall.

Here’s the latest…

Tonight, the 09 Seattle Poetry Slam Team (Greg Bee, Tara Hardy, Maya Hersh and myself) will take the stage at Spitfire around 9pm to perform group pieces, solo poems and some new work that we’ve been spit shining for the National Poetry Slam. We leave on August 3 for West Palm Beach so this is your last chance to see us in full slam team glory. $5, 21+.

I promise updates as we struggle our way through some challenging preliminary bouts on Tuesday and Wednesday nights at NPS.

Also, Seattle writer Matt Briggs has a fantastic blog called Reading Local Seattle. He recently interviewed my about my new Writer-in-Residence position at Richard Hugo House. Read the interview here,
