I can’t wait for this event! I’ve never seen Merwin read, but I love his poems. This is a great opportunity to support the wonderful local press Copper Canyon. Only $15!

Esteemed poet W.S. Merwin makes this welcome Seattle return, his first since his most recent collection, The Shadow of Sirius (Copper Canyon), received the 2009 Pulitzer Prize, and much critical acclaim. This night features a number of highly regarded younger poets also published by Copper Canyon—Erin Belieu, Ben Lerner, Valzyna Mort, and Matthew Zapruder—who will read and speak in tribute to William Merwin, before turning the stage over to him.
