It could sound braggy to say that I’m happy with critical response to my second novel STARBIRD MURPHY AND THE WORLD OUTSIDE. But the life of a writer is full of mean days, so I’m going to live it up while I can!
The best and favorite review, though, comes from a young reader with a blog. Yes to youth using the internet well! Yes to creativity and young women! Yes to writing about how much we like things! Side note: I think this blogger has a future as a book reviewer because the quality of the review is high.
Some favorite quotes:
I mean, it’s not every day that you pick up a book and read about communes in rural Washington. In short, Starbird Murphy and the World Outside has a little bit of something for everybody. You will laugh at some parts, you will cringe at others, and even some will have your chest doing that weird rib-tightening thing because you really, really want to get to the end of the chapter to see what happens. Or maybe that doesn’t happen to anyone else.
